Join Australian-born director Greg Eldridge as he discusses life working at an elite opera house and shares some stories from behind-the-scenes at one of Europe's landmark theatres.

As the Jette Parker Associate Director at The Royal Opera, Covent Garden, he has worked with some of the biggest names in international opera. From Kaufmann to Gheorghiu and Domingo to Terfel, Greg will be sharing his experiences working with some of the opera world's most (in)famous characters and will shine a light on some of his more recent adventures at the ROH.

Greg will also be happy to take your questions about professional life in an opera house, rehearsal room technique, the state of theatre in Europe and opera in general - so come prepared with anything you'd like to ask!

The Cooper Hall Opera Club

The Cooper Hall Opera Club, 'CHOC' convenes quarterly with drinks, nibbles, a talk and a showing of an opera film. As much educational as social, we will invite a range of speakers to introduce and give an insight into each opera shown. The Opera Club is intended to be fun, accessible and suitable for opera novices to opera buffs. Notification of the CHOC programme is sent out by e-newsletter prior to each event.

The cost is £10 for individual events or £35 for 4 (quarterly) events, to include any talks, films, performance, or discussions. If you book all four mid-season then your booking will roll over to the next season (4 events per season/year)

WE DO NOT ISSUE PHYSICAL TICKETS! On receipt of payment, your name* will be added to the guest list and you and your party will be greeted and checked in on arrival ..simple!

All tickets are transferable.

If you are unable to attend an event having already purchased a ticket, we may possibly be able to sell it on to someone else if we have a waiting list. Please contact us for further information. We cannot guarantee any resales, but will endeavour to do our best!

*The name on the guest list will be the name of the person/cardholder who purchased the tickets. If purchasing more than one ticket and your party is not arriving together - each party member needs to quote this name. If in any doubt please print and bring along your paypal receipt.
